Welcome Rachel Sophia Lunn

Welcome Rachel Sophia Lunn to the world. Let's recap the last couple of days. Wednesday March 30th was Aubrey's 2nd birthday. At 9:00pm that night Mommy started having contractions every five minutes. So we went to the hospital at 11:00pm and were sent home at 2:00am. The contractions were not making any progress so we were sent home. Shortly after arriving home, we crashed onto the bed. At 6:30am, Mommy woke me up saying, "My water broke." AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH we are heading the hospital now. Sure enough after arriving, the Doctor said that we were staying until our little one was born. Finally the labor started around 2:30pm.

Coincidently the Reds were playing their Opening Day game against the Brewers. The Brewers started the game with 2 solo shot home runs. At 2:30 Daddy turned the game off to focus on Mommy. At 3:00 Mommy was in full labor, but there still wasn't much progress. Finally at 4:07, Rachel entered the world. Your body was coming through the canal a little off which made labor a little more difficult. Your shoulder got stuck and one the of nurses had to jump onto Mommy's stomach. It was crazy, but you entered the world screaming and crying. Mommy and I were so happy. You were born 9 lbs and 7 ounces. You were also 21 inches long. Everyone was amazed by the thickness of your hair. You had dark brown hair with blonde highlights. Beautiful. We spent the next hour falling in love with you.
Background on your name. Rachel comes from Nana's Grandma's name. She was named Harriett Rachel Piester. Sophia is Mommy's Grandma's name. So you get both sides of the family.

This is my favorite picture of you. Beautiful.

By the way, at 5:00pm the Reds Ramon Hernandez hit a three run home run to win 7-6.

Go REDS

Love Daddy
