Daddy Daughter Dance

Three years ago, I dreamed of a night like tonight. At that time I didn't know how long it would be before you came to Mommy and me. I remember at times, when I was bored, I would watch Gotcha Videos online. It was a difficult and depressing time waiting for you. I just wanted to get to know you, hug you, and spend nights like tonight. The Daddy Daughter Dance started with us going to dinner at a China buffet. We doubled with Mr. Jeff and Reva. Reva wanted Chinese. I've never heard of a three year old requesting Chinese, but there you go. Dinner was fun. You had whatever you wanted.

The dance was tons of fun. We got our picture, had popcorn, and danced like crazy to Thriller, YMCA, and The Chicken Dance. My favorite part of the night was dancing to Butterfly Kisses. It is something about having a daughter. It was such a beautiful night. Best night ever.

The night ended with Graeters. Yet another dream. I dreamed of ending a night like this with sharing ice cream. So we clinked our spoons and enjoyed ice cream together. Perfect night.

The next day we went to the Year of the Rabbit party. You and Aubrey dressed up in your traditional Korean dresses. You two were the most beautiful little girls there. We do this every year, but this year it was special seeing you both dressed up. I love the picture below. It is always fun to look around and see all of these little Korean kids running around. I also like that finally Sara can look around and see someone with black hair just like her.

But my favorite part was watching ten kids running around the stage. Nine kids with black hair and one kid with blond hair. As I was watching Sara was running Aubrey around the stage holding her hand. I love watching you two act like sisters.

Love Daddy
