Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

This Christmas is difficult to describe. I could use something like, "It was the best of times; it was the worst of times," but that doesn't fully describe this 2010 Christmas in the Lunn household. It started like just about any other Christmas. We went to the Family Christmas at church. The Family Christmas is such a fun event. There was grandmas reading Christmas stories, decorating cookies, and listening to carols.

According to Aubrey, this was the best part of the night. Yes she enjoyed making the ornaments and gingerbread house, but eating the cookie was the best part of the night. She eats quite intently. Sara and Aubrey are definitely sisters.
Other than the Family Christmas, going to the zoo has become a family tradition. This year it was a bitter cold night, but the lights were absolutely beautiful. This beautiful night almost never happened. Forty-five minutes of sitting in traffic was enough to end the Christmas spirit, but Stacy would not allow the traffic to mess with her Christmas.
Snow angels on the kitchen floor.
We made it the Lunn Family Christmas with no problems. We woke up a couple of days before Christmas to open our family presents. That afternoon we were heading to her Grandma Hog's house. Aubrey, I was surprised by how much you got into opening presents. After the first one you were hooked.
Aubrey and Sara, you will love golf. You will dominate in golf. You will destroy the Parsons family every time you get onto a golf course. You two have a legit set of golf clubs to begin your career. I know that you didn't ask for them, but now that you have them....YOU LOVE THEM!!!
How happy do you look.
We are now at Mamma Hog's house. We spent a couple of days there with Grandma Hog's house along with Uncle Chad. Not surprising, the digital photo frame was your favorite item in the house.

Ahhhhhh
Grandma Hog had to get a family photo. We took twenty some odd pictures and sadly this is the best one that we got. Not sure what the Axl-Man is doing.

After Grandma Hog's house we started our journey off to Grandpa Larry and Grandma Pat's house. About forty minutes away from Rochester, Aubrianna decided to throw up her breakfast. Not that big of a deal. I've been a daddy for a little while now. We cleaned her up, stretched a turtleneck over her head and on we went. Twenty minutes away from Rochester, Aubrianna threw chunks all over her, her turtleneck and her car seat. We pulled into a gas station and I went in to ask for a pair of scissors. We surgically cut the turtleneck off, threw it away, and Stacy took Aubrey...half naked...into the bathroom. We finally arrived.
Ahhhhh. A night later and I found myself throwing up into the toilet. And now we are off to Nana and Papa's house.
The first night we were at Nana and Papa's house, Sara Lyn was found throwing up twice in her bed. There seems to be a theme going on here. Regardless of the throw up and traveling we really did have a great job seeing everyone.

The three girls and their laptops.
Our trip ended with a 911 phone call. It was late one night and Mommy's continuous monitor was going beep beep beep. After me yelling at her a couple of times to check her blood sugar. She didn't. I turned on the light and asked her to check her blood sugar. She didn't. Instead she took the covers and shoved them over her head and began yelling, "BITE." HUH???HUH??? Eventually I called 911 and they came and checked your Mommy's blood sugar. They gave her an IV and suddenly Mommy became awake, cold, and embarrassed. It turns out that Mommy's blood sugar had dipped down too low. Everything turned out to be okay.
The next day we drove home.
It was good to be home.
Love Daddy
