It's a Girl

Aubrey and Sara,

In only 20 weeks you will be welcoming in your brand new baby sister. Last week we went to the doctor to make sure everything was going well with little baby. I was so excited the entire day because I thought for sure we were having a boy. Obviously I was dead wrong. The original plan was to not find out what we were having. We didn't find out with Aubrey, but for whatever reason I had to know. Your Mommy still did not want to find out, but I can be rather persistent. So we went into the doctor's office and Mommy laid down on the bed. The doctor put goopy goop on her belly and magically we saw the baby on the television. Immediately I said,
"It's a boy."

She said, "No that is the placenta."

"Oh oops."

Minutes later I said, "It's a boy."

"Uh no."

So we waited and waited and waited. Finally she said, "You are having a girl."

Heartbreak.

From the beginning of the blog I have said that I was going to be honest. How many girls must I have? What have I done? Is there anything I can do?

After leaving the hospital, I called Nana and she thought it was the funniest joke she had ever heard. After an hour or so of dark depression, I came out of it. I knew were so lucky to have a healthy baby. I knew that we were so lucky to have three beautiful daughters, but we are done. I'm not going to try to go for four. No way no how.
